Spirituality and Transformational Leadership Practices: A Quantitative Study

Abstract: Transformational leadership practices and spirituality continue to be topics of research on effective leadership. Quantitative research on the impact a leader’s spiritual health has on transformational leadership practices has not been explicitly examined. This quantitative correlational research study evaluated, via self-assessment inventories, nonprofit administrators’ spirituality, transformational leadership practices, and the relationship between the two. Data were gathered and tested via Person’s r bivariate correlation to determine if a significant relationship between nonprofit administrators’ spirituality, measured by the Spiritual Transformation Inventory 2.0, and transformational leadership practices, measured by the Leadership Practices Inventory, exists. Thirty-one nonprofit administrators in western Pennsylvania were selected by way of convenience sampling. The first 31 participants to return a consent form were selected. Data were collected in two weeks using online surveys. SPSS was utilized to calculate the composite (mean) scores for the spirituality and transformational leadership practices variables. The correlational coefficients were analyzed to determine significant relationships between the variables. A one-tailed test of significance was used to test the relationship of the variables with a .05 significance level to analyze the results. Data gathered and analyzed from the study provided no conclusive evidence about the relationship between western Pennsylvania nonprofit administrators’ spirituality and transformational leadership practices. Continued research on spirituality and transformational leadership may offer leaders responsible for developing organizations’ culture and climate a greater understanding of how to effectively nurture leadership practices for self-improvement, improvement of others, and well-being in the workplace.

Abstract: The eventual goal of every organization is to attain comparative achievement and be ahead of its competitors The eventual goal of every organization is to attain comparative achievement and be ahead of its competitors while maintaining sustainable productivity through a competent workforce. The crucial attributes of the business and its terrains at the recent times are such that any organization that will continue to be in existence and thrive amidst the dynamism in the environment must keep upskilling and reskilling its employees. The study examines effect of selection procedure of employee for training for organizational performance in gas and energy company in Delta State, Nigeria. This study uses a sample of 254 employees selected representing the entire population of 694. A validated and reliable questionnaire instrument was employed to gather data. Two hypotheses were tested. One-sample test was used to test the hypotheses formulated in the study. Findings from the study reveal that the extent to which unsystematic approach to employee training affected organizational productivity was high. This was statistically supported by the one-sample test at 0.05 (Zc=8.246t=0.000). Again, the extent of effect of training design on employee productivity was high. The one-sample test (Zc=0.679t=0.730; α=0.05) confirms this assertion. Therefore, the study assesses the effect of training gap identification as determinants of employees’ job performance in gas and energy company in Nigeria Delta State. The study concludes that the concern organizations and others in general should ensures that deserving employees are sent on training through the systematic training procedure of identifying and selecting employees for training, which could lead to a significant improvement on the organizational performance. Hence, the study recommends that biases should be discouraged as employee gap analysis should be the criteria for training need identification.

Abstract: In the modern business world we’re in, every organization is competing to produce the best results; there is a vital role of employe loyality. In private schools ‘teachers’ visage amplified challenges with the employees’ loyalty. In today’s economy the private school teachers’ plays a very important role in our economy. According to literature there are diverse researches use to conduct the research work in the field of Human Resource Management, Management, Finance, and commerce to verify “The impact of HR factors on employee retention”. However, Private School systems have not comparatively explored by the researchers. This study examine to get a comprehensible and transparent view about selected actors which are employee’s pay relation with supervisor and peers with employees’ loyalty in diverse private schools of Jamshoro, Sindh. The main idea is to find out that private school puts how much effort for their best employees to keep intact with the school. This research is done on private schools of Jamshoro as no one has taken this field in past years considering employee retention on teachers of private schools of Jamshoro. All private schools (Jamshoro based) are tripped for primary data collection. The research study is deductive in nature. However, the primary data is quantitatively collected with the help of survey questionnaires by using probability random sampling technique. The sample size is 214 teachers of Private schools of Jamshoro and total number of populations is 480 teachers. The statistics/techniques used in this research study were descriptive statistics for data summarizing and the data is analyzed through regression analysis by using SPSS. In general, this research concluded that teachers’ loyalty at encouraging intensity (positive level) at private schools of Jamshoro, Sindh. However, pay has the greatest impact on teachers’ loyalty.

Abstract: The high penetration rate of Internet and mobile phones has brought about changes in consumption and payment methods, and prompted the transformation of traditional tourism industrial structure to "Internet+Tourism", and then the demand for tourism talents has also changed. The paper is based on the analysis of talent demand in Beijing tourism enterprises, using questionnaire survey method, investigates the current situation of talent recruitment in tourism enterprises and the training of tourism talents from the perspective of tourism enterprises, and analyze the data of 252 tourism enterprises by SPSS statistical software, the results show that: tourism enterprises are in shortage of talents, and there is an urgent need for composite talents with high intersection of service technical talents and professional disciplines talent, and then changes in the demand for talents are the result of a combination of internal and external factors, the disconnect between production and demand causes a large shortage of talents in tourism enterprises while tourism talents are still difficult to be employed. Finally, the financial investment in the construction of tourism talents should be increased in Beijing, and tourism enterprises are proposed that they should cooperate with the universities offering related majors especially in practice and should accelerate the transformation of "Internet+Tourism".
